All You Need to Know About Bhubaneswar DOT FEST

Here’s a ready reckoner for the ongoing Dot FEST in Bhubaneswar. I am amazed that people do not yet know about the different events, their details, timings, venue, and tickets. So, I thought, why not put everything in one place and put it out there for everyone!

After all, #mycitymypride!

What is Dot FEST

Bhubaneswar hosted the Hockey World Cup for the first time in 2018. Along with it, the city also saw a dedicated festival called the Dot FEST that celebrates Food, Entertainment, Stories, and Trails. After Cyclone Fani in 2019 and the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 and 2021, Odisha is once again hosting the 2023 Hockey World Cup with 16 participating nations playing several matches in the Birsa Munda Stadium, Rourkela and Kalinga Stadium, Bhubaneswar.

The Dot FEST also makes a comeback, and in a much grander way than the last one. The Dot FEST pushes the city as an emerging urban tourism destination.

The FEST starts on the 15th and will continue until the 29th of January, 2023. It includes cultural and entertainment events such as city trails, heritage walks, international food festival, storytelling sessions, and a flea night market to dip the city in various shades of festive vibes in the city.

The Odisha government has done a fantastic job in bringing the country onto the global sports map with Hockey, and the city of Bhubaneswar as the next urban tourist destination.

Odisha has arrived! Hockey has arrived! And each one of us must witness the spectacular event.
